When the redesigned Komet 60 appeared in 1005, the limited thirty-model run quickly sold out. Now, the Komet Concorde houses exactly the same circuit and exactly the same boutique-grade sound. This amp head also features a specially designed power and output transformer while, just like all Komet amps, the set of controls and the layout remain detailed yet simple and intuitive. The single volume pot has been planted next to a three-band EQ section and a presence pot plus a high-cut control pot, largely for shaping the power amp section and adding some darkness to the tone without losing out on any of the gain and treble. This amp head doesn't just bring higher gain either, but comes kitted out with EL34 power amp valves, deviating from the Komet 60 design and supporting the faster response of the solid-state rectifier, resulting in a tighter and more modern low-end.

Simplified Biasing

Long gone are the days when you had to get the output stage biased by a specialist. Now, you can simply do it yourself. All you need is a voltmeter with a milivolt (mV) setting. The rear panel of the Komet Concorde features two bias ports so you can set the correct voltage when replacing the valves. Even the dynamic response can be set via the Touch Response switch found on the rear panel, so you can tune up your amp to perfectly match your playing style. Flip the switch between a fast or gradual response and calibrate the volume pot of your guitar to polish things off.
